Charlie Hodson

Charlie Hodson will be entertaining crowds, cooking his famous Nelson Sausage Roll as seen on Channel 4 'Sunday Brunch' in the Game Fair Kitchen on Saturday 22nd April.

Born in France, Charlie is certainly a local man having been raised and educated in Norfolk.

Charlie has a vast number of accomplishments in and out of the kitchen including gaining two straight AA rosettes at The Grove in 7 months, working in many restaurants including Aubergine, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols also executive head chef at The Grove and The Great Hospital.

Charlie is also a patron for The Leap, The Feed CIC & Porkstock Festival as well as being an ambassador for Norfolk Food & Drink and Marie Curie Norfolk and Crew at RNLI Cromer. And recently alongside his friend and butcher Icarus Hines Hosting the first Art of Butchery Stage in the main food hall At The Royal Norfolk Show, a real celebration of generations of skill handed from generation to generation. Hand in hand in all the above its so obvious that Charlie loves Norfolk, recently being awarded by Norfolk Food and Drink Champion for 2016, and as Chef Director of Purple Plum Catering smiling as he reveals recently being awarded title of official Caterer to The Royal Warrant Association at Sandringham Flower show, never more has a Norfolk boy felt so proud and honoured.

On top of all the above he’s working as a chef consultant in Norfolk, appointed Chef Consulting at The Globe Inn, Wells, devising menus combining amazingly locally sourced produce showcasing all that’s available locally with Crabs from his coxswain & friend John Davies, Saffron from Sally Francis, oils come from Crush Foods, and his meat sourced locally through Blakes and butchers Icarus Hines & Jamie Archer. He is also very proud to support Norwich City College in helping to promote our future Chefs and Front of House Staff, recently hosting Debut kitchen take over to a full guest list.
