We are delighted to welcome head chef Richard from the Angel to demonstrate in our Cookery Theatre this April. The Game Fair Country Kitchen is housed in the centre of the busy Food & Drink Hall where you will find a wide variety of demonstrations and exhibitors from Norfolk, Suffolk and across the UK bringing unusual and mouth watering food and drink to the show for our visitors to sample, enjoy and purchase.
Richard trained at the George hotel at Stamford before moving the Isle of Man and having a pub over there for 8 years. Since coming back to the England we have taken over The Angel at Watlington where we have poured a large amount of love and energy into the refurbishment of the building (most recently completed in Jan 2024) and we have set about establishing the business as a place to dine, relax and enjoy home-made, local produce cooked well. We secured our 2nd AA rosette in November 2023 and have been the finalists in many national awards including this year’s Eat Game awards where we are currently in the final 3 (to be announced in March 2024).
